My name is Sarah Stokes, and I have the honor and delight of serving as my school's resident Ms. Frizzle in the elementary STEM lab! My students in grades K-4th explore STEM through science experiments, foundational coding and robotics, engineering design projects, and hands-on STEM workstations that combine the NC State Science Standards, the Next Generation Standards, and, most importantly, student inquiry and curiosity. We build cultural connections through STEM history lessons, we use our big ideas to benefit our school community, and we have a LOT of fun. My students enjoy productive noise, meaningful messes, and a whole lot of science-based silliness with me and my mischievous doll doppelganger, Tiny Ms. Stokes. Any amount you can donate will help me provide hands-on materials for my students to empower them as creative problem solvers. Thank you so much for your generosity!
